Throughout our collaboration together, we work closely with the owners and users to ensure the design and construction process is successful. We have built our reputation on long-term, successful completion of project goals and we strive to exceed our customer’s expectations in everything we do. For over 40 years, S+B James has diligently worked to meet client project goals and provide superior results. Since its inception in 1977, S+B James has been a full-service construction company, completing various work such as rough carpentry, facilities maintenance, demolition, excavation and grading, and more. Our clients’ trust is the foundation of our success. Over the years, we’ve developed strong, lasting relationships with local businesses and community organizations all down the west coast. Our relationships with our clients extends far beyond that of a traditional construction company, and that partnership continues after the work is done. Additionally, we’ve partnered with many charitable and nonprofit community organizations through various fundraising activities. One of our greatest joys is making our community an even better place to live.

This has transpired into how he manages and organizes his teams now. His career has also taught him the value of personal growth vs professional growth and how important it is for everyone to have a good work/life balance. Heman in his spare time is actively involved as a professor at Sacramento State University and volunteering in organizations such as WRMSDC to make an impact in our communities. He has also worked for one of the largest General Contractors in the country in a leadership role.

The qualities he learned then serve him well in the construction industry. Jeff enjoys not only the variety of his job as a Project Engineer, but that he finds himself learning new things regularly. While many team members have a favorite project that they’ve worked on, Jeff doesn’t! He enjoys the overall and collective work on company projects, goals, and processes that aid S+B James in being the best in the industry!
