Southern Oregon Sanitation Facility
This 14,000 square foot facility handles the processing of post-consumer raw materials such as cardboard, glass, plastic, and metal for both Josephine and Jackson counties. It houses a large materials recycling bundling machine, which was fed by separate lines of various recyclables. The general public drops off items at one end of the building, where they are sorted and directed toward the bundling machine. Once bundled, the materials are stored inside the building before being transported to two loading docks for shipment to regional recycling centers. The facility features large roll-up doors for delivery vehicles and staff offices.
