What is the difference between Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CM/GC, and general contracting?

Design-Build combines design and construction under one team. Progressive Design-Build also brings the designer and builder together early, with the team collaboratively developing the design, scope, schedule, and commercial terms as the project progresses. CM/GC keeps the designer and contractor under separate contracts while involving the contractor during design. Traditional general contracting typically begins after the design is substantially complete.
